Every picture tells a story.

Every picture tells a story.

this picture tells a story of...

a mama who at first said no to being in this picture because her hair & teeth were unbrushed and her face naked, before realizing that sh-t doesn't matter, and capturing memories with her babies does.

this mama's summer crew: a crew that would show her a kind of love she'd never experienced before, but also strip her down and stretch her beyond any limit she thought possible.

a little boy waiting for the bus on his 1st day of Kindergarten. A little boy who woke up at 5am because he was so excited and nervous to be a new face at a brand new school in a new town.

parents hoping that their son will find a gentle soul at the lunch table, a kind smile at recess, and a teacher who is able to see his true self + good heart.

a mother saying a silent prayer that her love was good enough, that her love will wrap around her boy like a protective cloak from miles away, keeping him safe from things in this world that could cause him harm.

a mama torn between feeling a sigh of relief that her hands will be a little more free and counting down the seconds until she sees his perfect face coming off the bus and holds him in her arms again.

Here's a picture of a new family living a new chapter.

This is what inspires me:

Real families living real life, living hard stuff, living real love.

You feel me?

Over to you: how you mamas feeling about kids heading back to school?

more to come,
